Just came back from Calling lake, was really windy, non fishable on the lake, found a small creek, landed 2 walleyes and two pikes within 15 minutes, my 20lb fireline was cut twice.
one walleye is oversized, released, released one pike, too skinny. not a bad weekend, calling lake is a nice place for ice fishing among few of friends, cabin is 50 yards from the shore and you can catch walleye, pike, whitefish and perch, oh, and lingcod as well.

sorry, didn't check the post, the phone number is 4035504275, it is a cabin, there is a probvincial park south of the lake, the owner is a very nice guy, however, the cabin is not well developed, basically rooms in the cabin are not isolated, you can look over the other room on the top of the wall, same situation even apply to the washroom, so it is not recommended to stay more than one families. beach is much better than slave lake, white sand extends out up to 100 yards based on what owner told me, I didn't check myself due to the poor weather condition. fishing should be fine if it is warm and calm. as far as I know, there is no public access to the creek, surrounded by cabins. only reason I fished the creek is the bad weather, rainy and windy. other wise, you can fish the lake, walk out 50 yard and you can catch fish, again, don't quote this line on me, that is what the owner told me. the cabin doesn't have the wireless, but it has satelite tv, and playstation 3, so kids won't get bored.
