Are you an immigrant woman who:

! Q* _( h% l4 W- z* Q-  arrived in Canada less than three years ago?
-  has taken an English language assessment test?
' j* }! |) e! Q( h: H-  scored at least a Level 3 of the Canadian Language Benchmarks (LINC)?
) K# B5 d7 v9 O% {  B# ?* J0 ~
If the answers are yes, then you are invited to apply to attend our pre-employment program

MAKING CHANGES PROGRAM is a pre-employment, life skill orientation program with an English component.  It is a two week program requiring four days a week or once a week for eight weeks for a total of 48 hours.

THE COURSE OFFERS:

•        Counseling to help you find what is right for you.
2 g( p+ e: n' J* n•        Opportunity to develop your English Language skills.
•        Opportunities in class to practice difficult situations, e.g. a job interview or proper telephone etiquette.
•        Information about community agencies and services.
; U8 y. W6 X" t2 [! x•        Information about going back to school, returning to work, or changing your job.
/ C7 }) S0 V' m, ]# t' Y' c•        Continued support after the course to help you carry out your plan.

1.  May 6, 2006 – June 24, 2006                Saturdays from 10:00 – 4:00 p.m.
2.  July 17, 2006 – July 28, 2006                Mon. Tues. Thurs and Fri. from 10:00-4:00 p.m.
3.  August  21, 2006 – Sept. 1, 2006                Mon. Tues. Thurs and Fri. from 10:00-4:00 p.m.
4.  Oct. 21, 2006 – Dec. 9, 2006                Saturdays from 10:00 – 4:00 p.m.
