1. Base Layer - A base layer is an insulating layer worn+ U. A- m. v/ e. n2 h
next to your skin. Base layers help regulate your body' T. ]/ z" U" a6 i% S- |' x' i0 n
temperature by moving perspiration away from your* _# z3 s8 B! D/ C( b# f
skin. This layer should fit snugly and retain some3 x+ J% L* c' E. U% b
insulating properties.
3 L- E. U$ ?9 l! d# V, r2. Mid Layer - The purpose of the mid-layer is to4 Z" ?0 G, b" Y8 R( C
capture warmth through trapped air. Typically a mid-layer5 j& H4 _# b b) i6 k
is a fleece or a thick wool layer.
& j5 R0 M/ n% H( A. oWhen preparing for a trip to Snow Valley it is advised that students

There are 3 layers to consider:
5 i0 o/ f4 j5 WItems NOT to bring: Denim of any kind, Knit Mittens or Ankle Socks
8 M0 t) t6 A9 T- o' ?# QAccessories: Hand / Foot Warmers, Lip Balm & Sunscreen) |, `% K# f t; f- |" G8 i
- Gloves or Mittens (two pairs, in case one gets wet)
3 z0 n n( i" R% J! R- Knee High Ski Socks, plus a spare
2 w4 H' }3 M, A8 A3. Insulation Layer - An insulated and waterproof ski8 N& f1 w ] C( \+ t f
jacket and pants provide warmth and allow students: q* A' z8 @3 b4 g4 [
to stay dry.
/ S1 N+ a4 ]; H3 iTip: If you dress in layers, you can always remove a layer if you get hot.
