找到一个在mcmurray的工作,不知该不该去?

从来没去过那里,心中也没底

和edmonton相比,那里怎么样啊??

如果有小孩的话，不建议全家都搬过去，那里的教育不是很理想，还是让小孩留在这里接受教育为好。我单位的一个老外同事就是从那里搬过来的，主要原因就是为了孩子的教育。

before you go to fort mc, decide what you want to gain out of it... money or experience?

if you want to earn money, then i would strongly suggest you to go to other small towns within alberta, ie Edson, Bonnyville, Cold Lake, Grand Priarie, etc. These are all small towns totally catered to oil and gas industry, without having to pay insanly amount of money for living expanses.

if you want to gain work experience, decide on what kind of experience you want to gain, here's a short list of the major activities for the towns i listed above:

Fort McMurray: Oil Sands
Edson, Grand Prairie: Natural Gas
Bonnyville, Cold Lake: heavy oil, SAGD

只比爱城高出两万,不值得一去,在F.M.的花销每年至少$15000(SHARE A ROOM), 而且还那么辛苦,值吗?如果比爱城高出$50,000++,可以考虑.

As you do not have the kids yet, you can move to Ft. Mcmurray with your spouse. IF you buy a place here, there will not be a lot of more expense than in Edmonton. Both the job in Fort Mcmurray and Edmonton are outdoors, it will be the same harsh. It is only 5 or 10 degree colder in Fort Mcmurray than Edmonton in the winter.
