It's not necessary to check your date of ovulation if your menstrual cycle is regular. A woman always ovulates 14 days prior to menses. So if you always have a 28 cycle, you can be 99% sure you'll ovulate on day 14. If you're trying to conceive, the days with the best chances would be the 2 days before and 1 day after the day you ovulate.
